Coffee, Coffee, Coffee

Fortunately we have been able to join one of the first coffee processing workshops in Thailand which was organized by Torch Coffee in cooperation with the Wawee Organic Coffee Learning Center. This was such a great opportunity to learn more about coffee process, roasting and cupping.  As Raintree Foundation it is our main goal to help the rural coffee farmers in Northern Thailand to being able to grow high quality coffee, teach them to know that they have a great coffee and also provide help to have access to the world market to generate a good and worthwhile income. In the near future we want to establish “Karen Coffee” as a unity of farmers, being named after the ethnic hill tribes we work with to identify themselves with their own products. If you want to know more about our foundation and our coffee project please contact us and help us spread to word on social media like Facebook too.

Visit from Foster Parents from Germany

2016-01-12 16:29 by Thomas

On the weekend we visited our foster children together with a couple of foster parents which spend their holidays in Thailand. It is a great opportunity to for the foster parents to meet the child they support in real life. A lot of questions have been asked by both the child and the foster parents. It is really important for us to be transparent and giving foster parents the chance to see that their support and donations are used where it is needed and to see with their support the children are able to attend school, getting healthy food and a caring environment. If you are also interested in our work please visit our webpage and please spread the word and like us on our Facebook page for English or our Partner in Germany on

Thank you.

Next Volunteer Trip

2015-11-25 14:16 by Thomas

Just a few days ago our 1 year volunteers enjoyed a trip together with our staff to the Mae Ngad Dam outside of Chiang Mai. The reason is to have some time off and to enjoy and relax together, share experiences from the different projects but also have the possibilities to see the beautiful surroundings from Northern Thailand. It is a great commitment from young adults to live 1 year in a remote village and helping children at school and teach them English but also it is a privilege for our foundation to have such dedicated people around us. The children improved their English skill noticeably and also getting new input from foreign countries. Thanks to all that had, do and want to help us to help people. For more information please contact us in English on or for German on
